Pandas and trade deals discussed as Australian PM Albanese visits China

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said his China trip is an opportunity to have "constructive discussions" on a range of issues including trade and security, as he wrapped up the trip after visiting a giant panda nursery in the southwestern city of Chengdu.  Albanese added that the two countries have signed two-way trade and two-way tourism agreements. Albanese’s six-day visit to China sought to bolster trade ties as geopolitical tensions remain high. The visit, which has included meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, will end on July 18, 2025, with details of the deals expected to be released
