Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific launches probe after video shows staff member throwing luggage

A video circulating online shows an employee of Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific Airways repeatedly throwing suitcases from a flight of stairs, violating the airline’s baggage-handling procedures. The company has launched an investigation and has removed the staff in question from her current position pending the outcome of the probe. The airline apologised to passengers on July 16, 2024, for the inconvenience caused.
