Hong Kong football boss Eric Fok open to legalising gambling

The chairman of The Football Association of Hong Kong, China, says allowing people to bet on local games would generate revenue and increase resources for the sport. It is currently illegal to gamble on football matches in the city.  Eric Fok Kai-shan said the topic is in a “discussion phase”, but conceded it is a “sensitive” issue and requires careful consideration. In a wide-ranging interview with Post reporter Paul McNamara, Fok also said his organisation has implemented measures to try to rid the sport of corruption.
