In Hong Kong and many parts of the world, we use the Gregorian calendar established by the Catholic Church. This solar calendar reformed the previously-used Julian calendar made by the Roman emperor Julius Caesar. The Gregorian calendar puts us in 2025, but that is not where – or rather, when – everyone else is. Discover some of the many calendars used around the world and what year it is according to them.
