These are some of the topics covered at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) ’s unique “Summer Discovery Academy”.
From July 23 to 29, 2025, this five-day programme run by the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care provides an immersive and experiential look into the world of public health and primary care.
Public health is more important than ever, especially after the pandemic. This programme is about preventing diseases and promoting well-being for entire communities, not just individuals.
The school is a leader in health innovation – it is the first in Hong Kong to integrate public health and primary care into its teaching and research. The programme will offer opportunities to explore crucial health topics with leading experts.

Beyond lectures, there are extracurricular activities organised by CUHK students and alums that offer a taste of life on the university campus.
Secondary school students in Forms Four and Five – or equivalent levels – can apply. Scholarships are available for bright students, as well as discounts for early applications.
