The Story of Jao Tsung-i: A journey through Hong Kong's cultural development

From 27 Nov 2019 – 17 Feb 2020, a public exhibition about Prof Jao Tsung-i will take place at Hong Kong Heritage Museum.An exhibition to celebrate the legacy of Professor Jao Tsung-I, one that shines a light on the renaissance of legitimate traditional values and morals, is being held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Visitors will have the chance to see 200 items of calligraphy, paintings and manuscripts from Professor Jao Tsung-I’s private collection, some of them showcased for the first time at a public exhibition. The collection contains many exceptional pieces of art and archival materials, and many with fascinating back-stories to explore. Part of the exhibition showcases Professor Jao Tsung-I’s selected academic and artworks inspired by Dunhuang culture.
The public exhibition will be held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum from 27 November 2019 – 17 February 2020.
Organised in parallel to the The Story of Jao Tsung-I exhibition is an Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Jao Studies for teams of secondary students, offering a HK$ 60,000 scholarship for the top team in both Junior and Senior categories.

All secondary school students in Hong Kong (Teams of 2-5 students).
• Junior category: Secondary 1 to 3
• Senior category: Secondary 4 to 6
Prizes:
• Champion: HK$ 60,000, trophy, certificate
• First runner-up: HK$ 45,000, trophy, certificate
• Second runner-up: HK$ 30,000, trophy, certificate
• Outstanding performance (up to 20 teams): HK$ 3,000, trophy, certificate
