K-pop stars BTS to give debut performance of ‘Butter’ at the Billboard Music Awards
- It’s the second English-language single from the group, who released chart-topper ‘Dynamite’ last year
- The band performed at the ceremony in 2020, as well as the Grammys and the MTV Video Music Awards

Super group BTS is set to perform its upcoming song Butter at the Billboard Music Awards.

The moment at the May 23 ceremony will mark the group’s debut performance of the song, which will be released as a single two days earlier.
“We can’t hold it in any longer!” BTS announced in a tweet Tuesday. “Our debut performance of “#BTS_Butter” will be at this year’s @BBMAs!”
The seven-member group from Seoul will perform the song remotely, Billboard said, to air during the ceremony in Los Angeles.
In the past year, BTS has performed at the Grammys, the MTV Video Music Awards and last year’s Billboard Music Awards.

Butter marks the second English-language single for BTS, following up on last year’s chart-topper, Dynamite.
BTS has been nominated for four honours at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, including top social artist, which the group has won four years in a row. Fans vote for that award.
Pink, Drake and The Weeknd have also been named performers at the ceremony.
