Studio Ghibli, famous for 'Spirited Away' and 'My Neighbor Totoro', announces two new movie releases
One film, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, will be released before the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo

In its annual New Year's message on its website, world-renowned animation studio Studio Ghibli announced to fans it is currently working on two new films.
One of the two is How Do You Live? and is anticipated to be released before the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Named after the 1937 book by Genzaburo Yoshino, the film will be directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
Miyazaki is a co-founder of the studio, whose previous works include some of the most iconic animated films of our time, such as Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, and Spirited Away.

However, the exact release date is yet to be confirmed. In an interview with Japanese broadcasting organization NHK, Miyazaki said his age and slow workflow are reasons why they haven’t been able to set a date yet.
Not much has been shared about the second film.
Besides thanking fans for their continued support, the statement also mentioned the previously-announced, first-ever Studio Ghibli theme park, which is now under construction and is set to open in the Japanese city of Nagakute in 2022.
