Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang praises China’s AI progress following chip sales approval

Nvidia’s co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang lauded China’s progress in open source artificial intelligence and said it was a “catalyst for global progress” that was “giving every country and industry a chance to join the AI revolution.” Huang pledged to work with Chinese companies, as the chip designer driving the growth of AI resumes shipping its sought-after chips to the country after getting US government approval. He was speaking on July 16, 2025 during the opening ceremony of the China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing.
