Man arrested as mainland Chinese dental centres in Hong Kong come under scrutiny
Poll shows dentists in the city must treat about four patients per month for complications after they received dental care across the border.
A 72-year-old man was arrested on July 23 for allegedly practising dentistry illegally at a shop in Hong Kong used by a dental clinic in mainland China. The clinic had been using the local shop to promote its mainland operations to people in the city. The arrest follows a call from the Hong Kong dental industry for tighter regulatory oversight of such activities.
