E-commerce platform Taobao said there is a growing appetite for design that embraces humour, individuality, and imperfection.
China’s e-commerce platform Taobao is celebrating so-called “uglies” – products that deviate from mainstream aesthetics. The company is holding an art exhibition in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, featuring 30 installations and more than 500 products listed on Taobao.
