China’s C919 jet completes first international commercial flight

China’s domestically produced C919 jet completed its first international commercial flight between Beijing and the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar on Wednesday. The flight was operated by the national carrier Air China. After a massive state-backed effort to develop the plane was approved in 2007, the first aircraft rolled off the production line in Shanghai in 2015.
