Typhoon Dolphin brings heavy rain and widespread flooding to Shanghai
The typhoon is the fourth to make landfall in China since July 3 and is projected to bring 40 per cent more rainfall than last month’s Typhoon Bavi.
Typhoon Dolphin, the most powerful tropical cyclone to hit China this year, made landfall on the country’s eastern coast on Sunday. It brought heavy rainfall to Shanghai, causing widespread flooding. The city also cancelled more than 1,000 flights ahead of the typhoon’s arrival.
