Hundreds evacuated as heavy rains cause dam to collapse in Guangxi region
The city of Nanning raised its emergency response to its highest level.
Heavy rains brought by Typhoon Maysak caused portions of a dam to collapse on Monday, flooding areas of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in southern China. Hundreds fled their homes as floodwater inundated towns and cities. Videos on social media showed rescuers using drones to reach residents trapped by the floods.
