An unusual boulder that lodged itself outside the home of Chinese Olympic gold medallist Huang Yuting, has drawn dozens of curious tourists eager to touch the rock in hopes of good luck.
Videos posted on Chinese social media platform Douyin showed visitors posing for photos with the “immortal rock” in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, following her win at the Paris Olympics.
On top of touching the rock for good luck, visitors also celebrated Huang’s win with the villagers and her family.
Alongside Sheng Lihao, Huang upheld a Chinese shooting tradition as they won the first gold of the Paris Olympics in the mixed team 10 metres air rifle event on Saturday. She then won silver in the women’s individual 10m air rifle on Monday.

“Huang Yuting winning China’s first gold medal has boosted her village’s economy,” one Douyin user commented.
However, some netizens were quick to point out that Huang’s achievements were captured through her own hard work.
