Tai Kwun Contemporary

Tai Kwun has unveiled a new permanent heritage exhibition at F Hall, formerly the site of the Victoria Immigration Centre. “Finding a Place to Call Home” draws on the history of the building as a processing facility for unauthorised immigrants and Vietnamese boatpeople, exploring themes of migration and displacement. Anchoring the new addition is Resilience, a mural by American artist Eric Okdeh, co-created with those who experienced the place as a holding facility, including former Vietnamese refugees and former staff of Victoria Prison.
