Shanghai Yue Opera House – Selected Excerpts

As part of the 53rd Hong Kong Arts Festival, the Shanghai Yue Opera House will bring six excerpts from the best representations of the Yue opera tradition to the stage on March 1. Fans can expect titillating scenes from Dream of the Red Chamber, as well as “fortune-telling”, and an excerpt from He Wenxiu performed by the “prince of Yue opera”, Zhao Zhigang.

Hong Kong Maritime Museum

Hong Kong’s museum of maritime heritage has debuted a new permanent exhibition about marine science. Split into the two themes of “Under Threat” and “Hope for Tomorrow”, the gallery features interactive and immersive installations about the effects of human intervention in delicate marine ecosystems, while also highlighting current marine conservation initiatives in Hong Kong.
