Launched in Los Angeles in 2016, ComplexCon is considered the definitive event when it comes to gauging the pulse of hip-hop and street culture. Previous editions have featured performances from heavyweights such as Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky and 21 Savage.

While Japanese illustrator Verdy served as the global artistic director for ComplexCon 2024, this year the reins have been handed to American visual artist Daniel Arsham. The artist has branded the festival as ComplexCon 3025, in a nod to his signature “future relics” aesthetic.
The Hong Kong festival – expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors again this year – is divided into two main sections. Taking place at the AsiaWorld-Expo, Complex Live! concerts will serve as the meeting point for American and Asian hip-hop, with a line-up featuring Quavo, the frontman of now defunct Migos, and seven-time Grammy-nominated Metro Boomin. The latter is making his Hong Kong debut, having previously collaborated with heavyweights such as Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Representing the K-hip hop scene is Zico, fresh out of a collaboration with Blackpink’s Jennie, while Hong Kong’s own MC Jin and Jace will rub shoulders with rising stars such as South Korea’s Changmo and B.I.
