A cancer patient in eastern China held a living funeral for herself in a park, bidding farewell to the world and to her friends, receiving an outpouring of blessings and encouragement from passers-by.

Jiang Yi, 30, from Zhejiang province, was diagnosed with small cell cancer of the cervix three months ago after experiencing unusual bleeding.

By the time doctors discovered the disease, it had already metastasised. They informed her that she might have just two years left to live.

Jiang shared this life-altering news with her college roommate and dear friend, Li Caicai.

Despite the grim diagnosis, Li noted that Jiang remained remarkably upbeat and vibrant, savouring precious moments with her husband and their three-year-old son.
