Rainy Tuesday expected in Hong Kong, with temperatures dipping to 16 degrees Celsius
Cold front forecast to move over inland Guangdong towards coast, but weather in the city will be sunnier later in the week, Observatory says

Hongkongers should brace for cooler and rainy weather on Tuesday as temperatures are expected to drop progressively to as low as 16 degrees Celsius (61 Fahrenheit) as a cold front approaches, according to the city’s weather forecaster.
The Observatory issued an amber rainstorm signal at 7.50pm on Monday, warning of possible flooding in low-lying areas and flash floods. The signal was cancelled at 10.15pm.
The amber rainstorm signal was the fourth-earliest one issued in the year since records began in 1998.
A thunderstorm warning was also issued at 7.25pm, with severe squally storms and violent gusts of up to 90km/h (56mph) expected across the city. It was later extended until at least 12.30am.
Earlier on Monday, the forecaster said a cold front over inland Guangdong province was moving southwards and was expected to reach coastal areas between the evening and early Tuesday.
