Yau took the stage at Kai Tak to open for Coldplay wearing an ensemble by Fendi featuring a crop-top and shorts – and Martin asked her to sing her Cantonese verse of the band’s hit ‘We Pray’ twice
Opening for Coldplay in Hong Kong, Cantopop sensation and Collar member Marf Yau took to the stage at Kai Tak Stadium on April 8 in a head-to-toe Fendi ensemble.

Known for her edgy fashion sense, Yau performed her latest single “To’pA’ti” wearing a cream knit crop top paired with high-waisted shorts bearing the brand’s signature motif. The outfit was completed with a white coat embellished with sequins from Fendi’s women’s spring/summer 2025 collection.

Later in the night, Yau joined Coldplay on stage for a special rendition of the group’s song “We Pray”. In a special treat for Hong Kong fans, Yau performed a verse of the song rewritten in Cantonese. The performance so impressed Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin that he stopped the band mid-song and requested an encore of her verse.
In 2021, Yau was crowned the champion of the fourth season of ViuTv’s singing competition reality show King Maker for her excellent vocal talents.

The 22-year-old talent’s Instagram is a gold mine for fashion ‘fits popular with the Gen Z crowd. On a day-to-day basis, the pop star seems to opt for streetwear and the trendy “big pants little shirt” combo.
But the fashion-forward star definitely knows how to step up her game too. Yau is frequently seen dressed in luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Thom Browne and Loewe.

Here’s a Miu Miu look Yau sported recently while viewing the brand’s Gymnasium collection in February at Harbour City. The outfit featured a short-sleeved grey sweater layered over a collared white button-down and navy blue shorts.
