EGOT stands for an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony – and with the 2024 Emmy Awards this month, 19 stars have now earned that status, including Mel Brooks and Richard Rodgers

Apart from the Phantom of the Opera composer and Roman Holiday actress, Ghost and Sister Act’s actress Whoopi Goldberg, Viola Davis and Jennifer Hudson won the unofficial accolade too

The ultimate feat in Hollywood is achieving an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony – or an EGOT.

There are 19 actors, producers, directors and composers who have been awarded all four. Elton John was the most recent person to achieve EGOT status after his win at the 2024 Emmy Awards.
