Boucheron adds 12 new designs to its Serpent Bohème collection, the snake-inspired range that dates back to 1968. This latest iteration combines onyx and gold, representing shadow and light. Evoking a snake’s sinuous form, the creations include a stunning pendant necklace with a chain and a dainty bracelet partly set with diamonds.

The textured effect in Buccellati’s Macri creations is achieved through the maison’s signature “rigato” engraving technique. Delicate lines are hand-engraved onto the gold surface, giving the precious metal a fabric-like sheen. Embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds, the bracelets, rings and pendants in the range showcase the Italian jeweller’s savoir faire and its elegant Renaissance-tinged aesthetic.

While the panther is Cartier’s undisputed icon, the jeweller has a long history with other animal creations, from zebras to crocodiles and even fantastical creatures like the chimera. Now the house is celebrating its menagerie of beautiful beasts with a series of pieces that showcase its ateliers’ ability to re-create in detail or subtly evoke animals ranging from tigers to rhinos.
