Netflix’s new UK crime thriller Adolescence, which impressed fans all over the world with its one-take episodes and stellar performances, has spent two weeks on the streamer’s top 10 chart after opening with a whopping 24.3 million views in four days, per Variety.
The series explores the psychology of a 13-year-old boy named Jamie Miller, played by breakout star Owen Cooper, who is accused of killing his schoolmate Katie.

Adolescence was co-created and co-written by Boardwalk Empire star Stephen Graham. He also stars in the leading role of Eddie Miller, Jamie’s father, who is left to cope with the aftermath of his son’s heinous actions after his arrest. Graham is phenomenal, as expected of the award-winning actor, but fans were surprised to find out that his wife, Hannah Walters, executive produced the show with him and has a cameo in it too.
Walters plays Bruntwood Academy teacher Mrs Bailey, who in episode two, assists detective inspector Luke Bascombe (Ashley Walters) and detective sergeant Misha Frank (Faye Marsay) with their investigation into Katie’s murder.

So who is Hannah Walters, who picks her dyslexic husband’s scripts for him, as he revealed during a 2020 Bafta Sessions panel?
