He may only be 18, but the 6ft 9 inch Duke Blue Devils forward is a basketball star in the making – perhaps unsurprisingly once you get to know his parents …

Cooper Flagg is undoubtedly the stand-out star of this year’s NCAA men’s March Madness tournament. At 18 years old, the 206cm (6ft 9 inch) baller plays as a forward for the Duke Blue Devils and is being tipped as No 1 among the first-round picks of the 2025 NBA Draft.

Flagg’s non-identical twin brother Ace is also a formidable player, and has already committed to the University of Maine, their mother Kelly Flagg’s alma mater.

Kelly, who once took part in March Madness as a player herself, recently spoke to People magazine about what it’s like to attend the NCAA tournament as a parent.

“It’s funny. I know some moms this year have been like, ‘What? Oh, I haven’t booked a flight yet.’ And they’re like, ‘Oh, it’s so expensive.’ I’m like, ‘You should have done it like me, three months ago.’”

She went on to talk about superstitions she and her husband Ralph share – including picking specific courtside seats and avoiding team-branded clothes on game days.

So who are Cooper Flagg’s supportive parents, former ballers Kelly and Ralph Flagg? Here’s everything we know.
