Certain stars may have a bad rap for their treatment of service staff, but others are known for their generosity.

These celebrities have healthy bank balances now, but they also know what it’s like to be on the other side of wealth. That’s why they make sure to tip waiters and valets for good service. Here are seven names that consistently appear in lists of the famous who always leave good tips.

In 2016, Schumer earned the respect of wait staff after she left a US$1,000 tip on a US$77 bill. Per Vanity Fair, she was watching Hamilton in New York and tipped the bartenders generously. Madeleine DeJohn, a bartender working on the night, told the New York Daily News that she and her colleagues split the hefty tip. “It was just something so generous and so kind that you don’t see every day,” she told the publication.

The host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon left a heavy tip at popular New York Japanese eatery Kissaki in 2021. According to Page Six, the television host and comedian was with his wife, Nancy Juvonen, when he left US$400 for their waiter. Per the publication, the star also happily posed for fans taking pictures through a window.

The ex-model, now cooking queen, made headlines in 2017 after a waitress at Centerville Outback Steakhouse in Ohio told of how Teigen showed her generosity with a handsome tip. Per the Associated Press, Mikayla Scott said Teigen had been dining with her daughter and a few friends. At the end of the meal, Teigen left her a US$1,000 tip.
