The already legendary SNL50 Anniversary Special on February 16 drew movers and shakers from New York and beyond – including Caroline Kennedy and her rarely seen husband, Edwin Schlossberg

It wasn’t just comedians and Hollywood celebrities who celebrated the SNL50 Anniversary Special on February 16. Even members of the Kennedy family were present at the lavish bash – including Caroline Kennedy and her rarely seen husband Edwin Schlossberg.

The couple, who have been married since 1986, were pictured arriving at the Saturday Night Live event in honour of the sketch comedy show’s milestone 50-year anniversary.

Kennedy’s appearance comes less than a month after she published a shocking takedown video urging US senators to reject her cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr as America’s next health and human services secretary, per the BBC. “I have known Bobby my whole life; we grew up together,” she said. “It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because he himself is a predator.”

Edwin Schlossberg was raised by an Orthodox Jewish family in New York, according to The Jewish Chronicle. His parents, Alfred Schlossberg and Mae Hirsch, were both the children of Ukrainian immigrants.

How did Caroline Kennedy meet Edwin Schlossberg?

The duo met while Kennedy was working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, per Biography. Despite his Jewish roots, Schlossberg tied the knot with the only daughter of JFK and Jacqueline Kennedy (also known as Jackie O) in an intimate Catholic ceremony in Cape Cod on July 19, 1986. Her brother John F. Kennedy Jr, her uncle Ted Kennedy and her famous mother were all present at the ceremony.
