Anna Romano (née Scarpulla) was born on February 24, 1963 to Italian parents who emigrated from a small town in Sicily to the Big Apple. Romano shares both her American nationality and Italian heritage with her hubby. In 2019, the Romanos took 13 relatives on holiday to Anna’s parents’ hometown in Sicily.

The two met while working at the Williamsburg Savings Bank in New York, per IMDb. The year was 1982, long before Romano became one of the highest paid actors on television. He was living with his parents, struggling to get his stand-up comedy career off the ground and not particularly great at his day job. After he started taking comedy more seriously and left his bank job, he asked Anna out. They dated for two years before saying their I-dos in 1987.
