Hansik Goo: restaurant review
- Mingoo Kang, the chef behind Seoul’s two-Michelin-starred Mingles, brings delivers contemporary Korean cuisine with an eight-course tasting/sharing menu
New premises and a fresh menu have made Hansik Goo one of the most sought-after bookings in town. Mingoo Kang, the chef behind Seoul’s two-Michelin-starred Mingles, brings his contemporary cuisine to Hong Kong with an eight-course tasting/sharing menu presenting Korean flavours in a new light.
Old favourites such as Korean fried chicken and samgye risotto – a new take on traditional ginseng chicken – are still on the menu. New dishes such as fish mandu and Hanwoo duo are an absolute delight. Prepared to be surprised by desserts such as makgeolli ice cream with black garlic meringue. For something different, try pairing dishes with Korean wines and soju.
Signature dishes
Samgye risotto (ginseng chicken risotto with two-year-old kimchi)
