Summer Palace: restaurant review
- Yum cha is extremely popular at Summer Palace, a Cantonese institution that has been held in high regard by loyal patrons for more than a decade

Summer Palace is a Cantonese institution that has been held in high regard by loyal patrons for over a decade. Yum cha is extremely popular at this restaurant and favourites include scallop and spinach dumplings, baked barbecued pork buns, Chinese sausage buns and silky smooth rice rolls.
The à la carte menu features king prawn in sweet and spicy plum sauce, pan-fried Hokkaido scallops in fig sauce, and poached fresh crabmeat dumpling in thick chicken soup.
For dessert, the baked sago pudding is a traditional item that is rare to find and even harder to perfect, but Summer Palace does it exceptionally well.
