Afternoon tea is a popular pastime in Hong Kong, and the ritual of savouring small treats is deeply ingrained in the city’s culinary landscape.
For many, the tradition – a legacy of British colonial rule – offers a moment of reprieve from the city’s hectic pace, a tradition that has evolved into a social event enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
If you fancy a few hours indulging in tiny sweet and savoury delights, then these new themed afternoon tea sets – from a chocolate celebration courtesy of Belgian chocolatier Godiva to a feast of cheese – should help get you in the festive mood.

This year, Rosewood Hong Kong won the world’s best afternoon tea award by La Liste, so you know you are in for something special with its autumn afternoon tea (HK$568 per person), available until the end of November.
Feast on butternut squash quiche and chestnut velouté with black truffle foam, and sandwiches including potted crab, shimeji mushroom, Scottish salmon with Granny Smith, and eggs and ham. On the sweet side, freshly baked treats such as Hokkaido milk tea flan, scones, vanilla brioche and wild berry cheesecake complete the set.
The experience, complemented by a curated pairing from French gourmet tea company Mariage Freres or a choice of freshly brewed coffee, is available from Monday to Friday (2.30pm-7pm, last orders at 6pm) and Saturday, Sunday and public holidays (midday-7pm, last orders at 6pm).

Green x Godiva: Starlit Carnival

Hotel Icon’s Green restaurant is getting into a sweet festive mood in a collaboration with Belgian chocolatier Godiva. From November 17 to February 13, 2026, the menu will feature dishes infused with the rich essence of Godiva, starting with a selection of four exquisite appetisers – smoked salmon rose with blinis and Godiva chocolate powder, mini mozzarella cheese ball with cherry tomato, deep-fried oysters with Godiva chocolate mayonnaise, and teriyaki eel and egg mousse on toasted brioche.
The show-stopping centrepiece is a shimmering crystal-globe Godiva dessert stand. Inside, a carousel slowly turns, presenting artisanal confections such as matcha and roasted rice choux, Japanese sesame Godiva chocolate cheesecake, raspberry Godiva chocolate panna cotta, chocolate-dipped strawberry and yuzu chocolate tart with lemon verbena.

Ebb & Flow x International Fragrance Association

The International Fragrance Association, in collaboration with The Park Lane Hong Kong hotel, presents the Ebb & Flow x International Fragrance Association Scents & Savours Afternoon Tea (HK$268 for one/HK$528 for two).
Uniting six fragrance brands – Anna Sui, Clean, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana Beauty, Furla and Kate Spade – with the hotel’s culinary team, the set features delicacies inspired by the signature notes of each fragrance.
They include citrus scallop ceviche, seared duck foie gras on ciabatta toast, and pink peppercorn-crusted Wagyu beef burger.
Sweets include a bergamot cream and jasmine panna cotta, a mandarin jelly and cardamom, Granny Smith apple and orange blossom custard cream tart, matcha mousse and rose and citrus and verbena scone with clotted cream and jam. Available on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 3pm-5pm.

Lobster Brunost Cheese Fondue

The Luxe Manor hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui has joined forces with century-old Norwegian cheese brand Tine to present a fondue afternoon tea (HK$588 for two) at Finds.
The set features Tine’s Norwegian Brunost caramel cheese that has been blended into a lobster and pumpkin soup, and served with a selection of Nordic seafood and seasonal vegetables for dipping.
Available from December 1 until January 31, 2026, from 3pm-5.30pm. Book on or before December 22 for 25 per cent off.

Cheese Please from Cruise x Sbakery by Mama Soo

Cruise Restaurant & Bar and local brand Sbakery by Mama Soo have joined forces to dish up an afternoon tea set (HK$688 for two) that celebrates all things cheese.
Available on weekends and public holidays from December 6 to March 1, 2026, the set includes Sbakery’s bestselling apple crumble mini cheesecake and chocolate hazelnut cheesecake, along with its popular cheesecake cookies in New York chocolate chip and sea salt and spiced caramel white chocolate flavours.
Other cheese-tastic treats include marinated watermelon with dried sweet fish floss and Parmesan cheese, black truffle and cheese toastie, lobster cappuccino and escargot en croûte with aged Cheddar cheese, along with all-you-can-eat soufflé pancakes with cheesecake foam and seasonal ice cream flavours.
