I love Asian cuisines – from local cha dong (tea stalls) to fancy omakase restaurants, I love them all.

I like the Tai Hang area, so among the places I enjoy near there are Sister Wah Beef Noodles (13 Electric Rd, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong). The beef noodles, both the clear broth and curry versions, are superb. Their fried pork chop dan-dan noodles are good too.

Bing Kee Cha Dong (5 Shepherd Street, Tai Hang, tel: 2577 3117) is a very local roadside stall serving Hong Kong food. The pork chop noodles, the milk teas and their toast are all amazing.

For a nicer environment, Elementary (15-16 School Street, Tai Hang, tel: 2362 2812) is a chilled and laid back Australian restaurant. It’s fantastic to spend my lunch and afternoon tea there. Good choices include the fried cauliflower and chilli crab pasta.
