From snake-themed events to whether your luck is in: discover all you need to know about the coming Lunar New Year in our Year of the Snake 2025 series.
What does 2025’s coming Year of the Snake have in store for those born in the Year of the Rabbit (1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011)
Lucky colour: silver; lucky element: silver; lucky number 4
The Year of the Snake will be great for Rabbits, with wealth stars shining particularly bright on workers. Entrepreneurs and those who are self-employed will do well as auspicious stars encourage more business.

It will be a lucky financial year, so Rabbits may wish to go ahead with investment opportunities they find appealing, after doing research.
However, two cursed stars will affect the family and home, which may lead to unexpected expenses. It is a good time for Rabbits to update their medical insurance coverage for themselves and their family, just in case.
There will also be a star that will bring small financial losses, so Rabbits thinking of investing with friends and family should agree to terms in black and white, or consult a lawyer if necessary.
Wealth and career
Rabbits will get help from benefactors this year, and an auspicious star favouring salary earners could make it a year they shine at work.
The hard work of Rabbits will be recognised; they should not be afraid of taking on big projects and letting their bosses know their contribution to the company.

The Year of the Snake will not only be good for Rabbits to get a raise or promotion; it will also be a good year for laying the groundwork for a bright future.
In the coming year, Rabbits should try to get out of their comfort zone, broaden their horizons and expand their network. Rabbits who have been thinking about changing jobs should believe in themselves and find one with a higher salary and better benefits.
The careers of self-employed Rabbits and those engaged in business have been stagnant for the past two years because of the influence of the tai sui, or guardian deity. But this year things will turn around completely and business will improve.


Love and relationships
Rabbits will not be particularly lucky in love in the Year of the Snake. Fortunately, though, the zodiac sign is one of the most naturally attractive.
Single Rabbits should attend social gatherings and take the initiative to pursue potential partners.
They should not be afraid of asking friends and family members to introduce them to people; even if it does not result in a romantic relationship, it will be a great way to meet new friends.
Married Rabbits will get along well with their partners and work towards growing old together. They can take the lead to set up romantic dates and surprises for their partners. Their strong relationship and prosperous work year can go hand in hand.
However, Rabbits should pay close attention to their partner’s health, which will be at risk because of the influence of the harmful stars.

Health and home
Under the influence of harmful stars, Rabbits will often be in a low mood and easily suffer from emotional distress in the Year of the Snake.
They should avoid visiting hospital patients and those in mourning. It is not advisable to go to places with strong negative energy, such as hospitals, funeral parlours and cemeteries.
Harmful stars affecting the home will make going out or travelling risky. Rabbits will be prone to minor accidents, such as losing things and injuring their hands and feet. Accordingly, they should buy travel insurance in advance of any trips.
Rabbits should also pay more attention to the health of older family members at home. If anyone elderly feels unwell, they should seek medical advice immediately.
This coming year, Rabbits can take the initiative to make minor repairs or replace furniture, which can improve the energy at home.
