Lin, currently on “gardening leave”, will begin her new role on October 1 and continue to be based in Hong Kong.

“This is an interesting career change for me. I have been working with auction houses since 1998.

“All this time, I have really enjoyed developing new markets and introducing new artists to collectors. So now I am going to focus on that and this position will give me more opportunities to connect with artists directly,” Lin told the Post while attending Frieze art week in Seoul, where Pace Gallery has a blockbuster exhibition pairing works by Mark Rothko and the Korean artist Lee Ufan.
