Your Hong Kong food guide for Easter weekend
Indulge in The Ritz-Carlton’s four-hands Valrhona afternoon tea set, The Mira’s six-course brunch featuring unlimited carvings, and a sourdough take on the classic festive hot cross bun

This Easter, the city’s kitchens are rolling out chocolate-centric tea sets, skyline specials, carving-station brunches and festive baked goods.
Here’s where to book or stop by this weekend for holiday eating that balances grown-up refinement with kid-friendly fun, from harbour-view Valrhona indulgences to DIY baked goods kits you can take home.
Friday, April 3

Kick off your Easter weekend with all things chocolate at Café 103. The Valrhona afternoon tea set sees The Ritz-Carlton’s executive pastry chef Ngan Kin Pong team up with Valrhona APAC pastry chef Guillaume Lopvet on a four‑hands menu that stars single‑origin couvertures, or chocolates with a relatively higher percentage of cocoa butter.
Begin with savoury bites including Comté crackers with fennel, cocoa-kissed truffle tartlets and foie gras brioche dusted with cacao nibs. Next is a set of entremets built around matcha and yuzu, passion fruit and 53 per cent Hukambi, the aromatic 70 per cent Guanaja, and 80 per cent Confection Ghana with coffee hazelnut praline – plus warm chocolate scones and hazelnut brioche to round out the menu. Guests also take home a box of four Valrhona bonbons as part of the experience.
