This weekend’s picks capture the season’s warmth through creative winter comforts, authentic celebrations and giving back. Spend Friday enjoying Zoku’s sukiyaki cheese fondue on The Terrace, savour the festive dinner set at Ask for Alonzo’s new Sha Tin location on Saturday, and share in Sunday’s toy-donation brunch at one Michelin-starred Ando.
Friday, December 12

Zoku at The Hari Hong Kong revives its eccentric sukiyaki cheese fondue to chase away the winter chill, blending Swiss Emmental and Tokachi cheeses with premium sake in a simmering pot for dippable delights at The Terrace alfresco bar. The lush, greenery-framed space in Wan Chai offers vegetarian accompaniments like shiitake mushrooms, broccolini and Japanese sweet potatoes, with condiments including shichimi and yuzu kosho.
Upgrade with binchotan-grilled skewers of US prime beef, Kyushu chicken and Hokkaido scallop, and enjoy a matcha layer cake to finish, paired with warm sakes or cocktails.
