With the Year of the Snake encouraging us to embrace new beginnings, 100 Top Tables is looking to the new restaurants and menus popping up around the city after the holiday period. From fun French dining to alfresco afternoon tea, here are our top picks for the coming weekend.

Perched on the harbour’s edge, Pier 7 Café & Bar is marking the Lunar New Year with a new daily lunch buffet.

The Mediterranean-inspired spread is rounded off with a carving station of rotating meats or fish – from roast beef and smoked brisket to pork belly and salmon. Accompanying the main dishes are soups, seasonal salads and condiments, as well as pasta, pilaf and vegetables.

For the Central crowd too busy to dine in, grab-and-go à la carte options are also available.
