Baby elephant rescued in India after being swept away by powerful currents

A baby elephant was swept nearly 5km (3 miles) downstream by strong currents in eastern India. Five fishermen rushed to rescue the few-days-old calf when they spotted it struggling in the Teesta River in West Bengal. After they brought it back to the riverbank, authorities kept it safe while they searched for its herd, eventually reuniting the calf with its mother.
