At least 5 dead and more than 80 missing in Philippine ferry fire near tourism hotspot

A deadly fire has broken out on board a passenger ferry near a tourist hotspot in the Philippines. At least five people have been reported dead and 87 missing after the Wednesday night blaze on the vessel heading from Manila to Palawan. Officials said at least 47 of the ship’s 134 passengers and crew have been rescued. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
