At least 5 dead after Amazon cargo plane crashes at Miami airport, bursting into flames
Investigators have been sent to Miami International airport in Florida after the crash that involved several ground vehicles, sending at least 5 other people to hospital.
At least five people were killed when an Amazon cargo plane shot off a runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday, striking multiple vehicles before bursting into flames. The crash happened at around 2pm local time in the US state of Florida, forcing the temporary closure of one of the country’s busiest airports. Officials said five other people were injured and sent to hospital. Some of the victims including the pilot and co-pilot of the jet were trapped and had to be rescued. Firefighters also had to contain a fuel leak after the crash.
