At least three people were injured during a series of coordinated attacks in Thailand’s southern provinces on Saturday. Authorities say over 70 coordinated arson attacks damaged infrastructure including railway tracks, a convenience store and government offices. Most of the attacks happened in Narathiwat province. The latest violence follows a deadly assault on soldiers in the region last month, and comes amid government efforts to counter a long-standing insurgency in the nation’s south.
