Indonesian President Prabowo has launched a controversial state-run minimarket programme that includes military-style training for prospective managers. Some people have raised concerns regarding the necessity of military training for those who will run the shops, which are part of a scheme to boost the economy and create jobs. Five people died in the first two weeks of the 45-day training that wrapped up last month.
