A 72-year-old Japanese security guard found himself thrust into the spotlight after designing a distinctive font used to direct commuters at the busy Shinjuku railway station. Shuetsu Sato revealed his hidden talent during renovation work at the station in 2004. He is now being commissioned by major corporations across Japan to design film posters, museum displays and drink adverts.
