Intense winds knock down Statue of Liberty replica in Brazil

The 40-metre (131ft) replica was a promotional display for Brazilian retail store chain Havan.

A towering replica of the Statue of Liberty was knocked down by 90km/h (60 miles per-hour) winds during a severe storm that swept across southern Brazil on December 15, 2025. Footage captured the moment the structure swayed before collapsing in a car park of a retail store, where the statue is used for promotion. Authorities said no one was injured in the incident.
