US presidential candidate Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in the state of Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024. Trump was shot in his right ear while addressing spectators. Trump survived the attack, but one person was killed and two others were injured. The attacker, who was shot dead by authorities, was identified as a 20-year-old registered Republican from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. US President Joe Biden has directed an independent review of security at the rally.
