A Nasa space capsule successfully scooped up the largest soil sample ever collected from the surface of an asteroid. The capsule streaked through Earth’s atmosphere on September 24, 2023, and parachuted into the Utah desert. The final descent and landing capped a six-year joint mission between the US space agency and the University of Arizona.
