A 102-year-old World War II pilot abseiled the 85 metre (280 ft) tall Royal London Hospital on September 14, 2023 to raise money for charity. Bell is a former Royal Air Force Mosquito bomber pilot who kicked off his fundraising challenge with a nine kilometre (6 mile) walk to important sites of his service in Cambridge.
