Germany arrests 25 suspected far-right extremists for alleged plot to overthrow government

The authorities in Germany have arrested 25 alleged affiliates of a far-right group on December 7, 2022, after uncovering what prosecutors said was a plot to violently overthrow the government and install a new leader. The arrests came after more than 3,000 police officers across 11 German states carried out raids as part of a counterterrorism measure.
