Hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets of Warsaw on January 28, 2021, to protest against a Polish government move to start implementing an abortion ban based on a ruling by one of the country’s top courts. Poland's Constitutional Tribunal decided in October 2020, to ban all abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or where the mother's life or health are at risk. Demonstrators rallied at the location where the tribunal meets, breaking into a courtyard of the building, leading to several arrests by police.
