SpaceX Starship rocket crashes in fireball while returning from test flight with no crew on board

A prototype of the huge new SpaceX rocket Starship has exploded minutes after returning from an apparently uneventful test launch and flight from the company's facility in Boca Chica, Texas. No injuries were reported after the unstaffed rocket blew up during an intended descent on December 9, 2020. The prototype is being developed to carry humans and 90 tonnes (100 tons) of cargo on future missions to the moon and Mars.
